Moon over Lyall Bay

Moon rise over Lyall Bay - Wellington, New Zealand

I went down to Lyall Bay earier tonight to try & shoot some of the windsurfing action, but as I got there around 8pm, the light was fading pretty fast so I didn’t really get any good shots of the windsurfers. However, I was lucky enough to be there just after moon rise & it was a relative clear night with just a few clouds. I was also lucky that I was shooting the windsurfers with my 500mm, so all I had to do was aim the camera up into the night sky from the beach & shoot away. I only managed to get two good images, but was pretty happy with the result. Click on the image to see the gallery.
